Recently, I became part of the photography staff for the New U, aka the UCI newspaper (Yay!). One of my most recent assignments was to photograph three members of the men’s basketball team. It was the first time I used strobes for an assignment (Special thanks to Justin Huang for lights and Alex Yee for assisting!). Even though I wished I noticed a few now irksome things while shooting, I think I did alright. Click here for the article.
I realized that I almost never covered sports during my years at UCI – but not to worry, this has been remedied! I have started taking more photos of athletics, and while I am quite rusty (darn low light settings!), it has been a lot of fun.
