Fairs were events that I generally associated with my childhood. I had been to a few (Asian-American Fair, Dog Fair, and LA Fair), but the OC Fair was a fairly new experience in my “adulthood” (which still seems like a foreign word in my vocabulary). Apparently, fairs consist of hiked up fare, cute (and a couple questionable-looking) animals, and artery clogging grub; the OC Fair was no exception. Somehow, my friends and I managed to avoid the oh so popular deep fried kool-aid and fried butter, but we did indulge in chocolate covered bacon (not bad, but I prefer sea salt chocolate).

Other highlights included an elephant ride, my first legal American drink (alright, more like sips), and a little walk through aquatic-themed ice sculptures.
