“We live on a 73 acre farm in Washington state. It keeps us busy with our – we have horses, cows, all that fun stuff. I have 4 kids, 2 grandchildren. I guess I’m just busy being a wife, a mom, and a grandma.

We take care of the animals. We raise a garden in the summer time. We have some trees so my husband logs the trees. It just keeps us busy there on the farm, building fence, and trying to keep the cows and the horses in. It’s always busy. Summertime is extremely busy from sun up to sun down. See, now this is wonderful. We left yesterday with snow and ice on the ground. We came down and there’s sunshine, so I’m soaking up the sun before we have to go home.

The mountains and the trees are gorgeous. We hike as a family. We like to go camping and boating. The kids all like to go snowboarding, so we live in a good place for that. We like going to the beach. I tried to con my son into going; we could’ve taken the bus today out to the beach, but he didn’t want to go.

My son actually auditioned for America’s Got Talent today. He plays guitar and sings. He’s actually already done. We were up early this morning. It was kind of spontaneous. We’ve been trying to get him to go on The Voice or do something like that for quite a while, and I was on the computer looking up auditions, and I said, ‘Oh, there’s one coming up in February in Los Angeles.’ He said, ‘Okay.’ So, we just did it. No matter whether he makes it or not, it’s a good experience for him.”
