This past Friday, the boyfriend and I headed over to the Toyota Grand Prix of Long Beach. Having never before attended this event, it was remarkable to see Shoreline transformed into a full blown racing track.
After catching some of the Indy car practice rounds, we sought a break from the blazing sun at the Lifestyle Expo.

We went back home for a few hours (something about the heat really makes us want to take a nap) and came back in time for the American Le Mans Series Qualifying.
Unfortunately, we couldn’t stay for the drifting events, but I really enjoyed taking these shots of the cars returning from the pits to the staging area. I couldn’t have asked for a better time of day to shoot.
