San Diego is the perfect weekend trip for us Angelenos. Yet it wasn’t until Jay’s birthday that I convinced him to take a trip down to experience some of what the city has to offer. We had friends to see, and I knew Jay would enjoy the beer. Our weekend ended with a visit to the San Diego Zoo Safari Park, where we sweltered in the over hundred degree heat. Even the other animals sought shade.
