Last month, I flew out to Washington, D.C. to take my cousin’s engagement photos. It was also the 100th Annual Cherry Blossom Festival, so, the cherry blossom trees were right at their peak.
We scheduled our shoot for the weekend, but alas! – the weather forecast was gloomy, predicting rain and storm. Nevertheless, we decided to brave it out Saturday morning and head towards the National Mall.
Our morning was cloudy and a bit windy, but other than a few drops here and there, the weather was kinder than forecasted.
After we finished our walk around the Tidal Basin, it really started raining, so we went back home for lunch and some indoor shots.
That was it. The day was done. However, we still really wanted to squeeze in some sunny shots. We managed to take some for about an hour or two just a couple days later, after Jean and Chris finished work.
I really love moments like these: Spontaneous, fun, and unexpected!
Thanks for having me, Jean and Chris! I can’t wait for your wedding in just a few weeks!
