For my last photo project in college, I decided on a different route than my usual portraits. Oh, and this time, you can click the photos for a larger resolution.
Yes, these are groundscapes. They differ from traditional landscapes in that the typical horizon line is omitted from the photograph. I sought out vacant lots (Lots up for lease or abandoned, not parking lots specifically) in Los Angeles and Orange counties. Often located in the middle of busier metropolitan spaces, these lots usually served as remnants of temporary urbanism.
Quite a nice respite – not sure if I’ll continue this series, but it was a good experience.
